This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use milliepoppins.com or buy from us, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it simple and only collect what we need.
About us
This website is run by Millie Poppins Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described in this policy.
- Company number: 12590440
- Registered address: 85 Great Portland Street, London W1W 7LT
- Email: [email protected]
What we collect
- When you buy something: your name, email address, billing address and details of what you bought.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us.
- When you use the website: basic technical information, such as your IP address and the cookies needed for the basket and checkout to work.
We never see or store your full card details. Payments are handled securely by our payment providers.
How we use it
- To process your order and send you your downloads
- To send you emails about your order, such as your receipt and download links
- To reply to your messages and help with any problems
- To keep the records we need for tax and accounting
- To keep our website secure and working properly
We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Our legal reasons
We use your information because we need it to fulfil our contract with you (your order), because the law requires us to keep certain records, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted services that help us run the business, such as:
- Our payment providers (PayPal and WooPayments, powered by Stripe)
- Our website host and the software that runs our shop
- Our accountant, where needed for our records
- Google, for website statistics (only if you accept cookies)
We never sell your information. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards to keep it protected.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 6 years, as required for tax purposes. Other information, such as messages, is kept only for as long as we need it.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed for the basket, checkout and your account to work. These cannot be switched off, as the shop would not work without them.
With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our website, such as which pages are visited. This only runs if you click Accept on our cookie banner. Instagram and Facebook content shown on our site may also set cookies, and only loads once you have agreed.
You can change your choice at any time on our Cookie Policy page, which also lists the cookies we use in full.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information (unless we have to keep it by law)
- Object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- Ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
